Breathing for Stress Management is a Game Changer

Want to change your experience of stress? Breathing for stress management is for you!

Do you experience tension in your body?

Do you experience overwhelming thoughts and emotions?

Do you ever feel like everything in life is going wrong or you just don’t know what to do?

What if we told you that you can overcome this in as little as 5minutes per day?!

Because you can.

Read on or watch video here

See, I used to feel like this too.

I went years letting myself become overwhelmed and stressed. I was fighting day to day just to get to where I wanted to be but without actually knowing what or where it was I wanted to be.

I had 1001 things going on in my head. I wasn’t listening to my body and the signals it was giving me, like pain and tension. I had no idea what I was feeling or even how to express myself.

I went through this viscous cycle for years, until enough was enough.

I found meditation and breath-work and then everything started changing for the better.

Meditation and breathing exercises for stress really work.

I started to notice:

  • I felt calm and relaxed
  • Stress became a thing of the past
  • My thoughts slowed down
  • I could better connect with my emotions
  • My pain disappeared

Our personal experiences have helped us to understand what our clients go through, and how to help them in a more effective way.

You might be questioning, if breathing and meditation can really have all those benefits.

And you’re probably thinking , ‘I’ve been breathing my whole life, breathing is just breathing’

But it’s not.

There’s a big difference between breathing and conscious breathing

(also known as health breathing)

Breathing is an automatic response.

When we aren't conscious of how we breathe, our nervous system breathes based on conditioned patterns. These are usually poor in most people, causing many health issues.

By taking control of our breath, and consciously focusing on breathing, slowly and deeply.

We get to experience all kinds of positive health effects like:

  • Feeling calm and relaxed mind and body
  • Reduced tension and pain
  • Gained clarity
  • More energy
  • Better quality sleep
  • Improved concentration and creativity
  • Improved productivity

A study at the University of Mannheim in Germany, showed that meditating and becoming more conscious of how we breath has a direct effect on stress, anxiety and mental health.

Breathing and stress management go hand in hand.

Just 5 mins a day can dramatically reduce the symptoms of anxiety and stress.

Leaving us in a more resourceful state to make better decisions in life.

It also strengthens our immune system to help prevent illness and disease.

So how can you experience these benefits too?

And bring yourself back to a more resourceful state in a little as 5 mins a day?

Try this relaxing breathing exercise. It’s one of the best breathing practices that exists...

One of the most common mistakes people make when first meditating or breathing is thinking they have to stop thinking.

The more you practice meditation and breath-work, you will slow down your thoughts. You'll be able to observe them and just let them pass instead of holding space in your mind.

Anytime your mind starts to wander, bring your focus back to your breath and be in the moment.

Give it a try.

Whether you’re breathing for anxiety relief or breathing for stress management, this breathing technique will work for you.

Once you’ve finished reading this, the first thing to do is schedule 5 minutes of breathing or mediation into your day.

When you schedule it, you won’t forget it. Eventually it will become a natural habit like brushing your teeth.

After your 5 minutes of breathing or meditation, grab your wellness journal and score yourself on a scale of 1-5 (low-high), based on how you feel.

If you’re breathing deeply daily and your mind and body is calm and healthy it’ll be a 5 and if not, it’ll be a 1.

Use this measure to gauge how you’re progressing each day.

If you have any questions on breathing or meditation, feel free to reach out anytime.

Until next time,

Much love and wellness.
